Casa Agosto Zof
18th century (mid-19th century Bassi)
The 18th-century building, located on the street front of "via della Filanda," forms a U-shaped layout with a central courtyard with two symmetrical orthogonal wings. The elderly people of the village
claim that this building complex was originally a convent. The building is currently divided into two properties: to the south Agosto Zof and to the north Piano. The southern section, of greater formal value, is developed on a tripartite rectangular plan rising for three floors. The facade features three orders of symmetrically arranged openings framed in stone. The northern part, owned by Piano, is developed on two floors corresponding to the arched portal and on three floors in the adjoining part.
The entire street front connects orthogonally to the south and north to two similar internal wings with a rectangular plan of two floors. The internal facades are characterized by small openings and a shell-shaped cornice. The building is characterized by a lowered arch stone portal made up of stone blocks of different widths arranged alternately. The arch is connected by simple capitals to the jambs resting on squared plinths. In the keystone, a bracket with a stylized leaf is surmounted by an abacus adorned with a flower. The facade also features a portal for pedestrian passage with a full arch in stone and, above, the iron balustrade with a French window also with a full arch. Access to the courtyard is constituted by an architraved portal with a wooden beam supported by two columns with capitals.
