Casa Marcuzzi Zanuttini

18th century (mid-19th century De Vit)

The building complex is reminiscent of the Friulian manor house of the 18th century. The building, with a U-shaped plan, features a front courtyard bordered at the corner between piazza Giulia and via San Marco by a wall with inverted Gothic arches and spheres above. The eastern section, with a rectangular plan, was originally the owner's residence, the only part of the complex where some 18th-century decorations with floral motifs appear. The southern part, which was inhabited by the steward, extends along the street front of via S. Marco. The northern wing, with a rectangular plan, was used solely for agricultural activities. The facade features a lowered stone arch portal. A full arch portal made with stone blocks of varying widths, arranged alternately, with a keystone within a clipeus a decoration. The openings are symmetrically arranged and framed on the three floors of the building. Access to the courtyard is characterized by a trace and two arched openings that complete the entire manor complex.
