Casa Spangher
18th century (mid-19th century Bearzi) The building complex, located on the street front of via della Filanda, dates back to the 18th century with some parts of older origin. The building is arranged in a U-shape with two internal wings that enclose a square courtyard. The north wing has a shallow rectangular plan with sloped walls dating back to the 15th century; this part of the building has undergone various modifications. The part on the street front, with a rectangular plan, extends over three floors with three orders of symmetrically arranged openings framed in stone. The windows are small on the ground floor and the second floor. The only wide opening is the portal of the “foledôr,” a building with a rectangular plan developing orthogonally to the street front.
The portal features a lowered stone arch, with slightly projecting corbels that connect the arch to the jambs. These, made of stone blocks of different widths and arranged alternately, rest on beveled curb-stones. This opening was later used as access to the rear spinning mill, of which the chimney remains.
