Angelus Fortis Gabriel
A praise by Rabano Mauro, Bishop of Mainz, runs along the frame surrounding the Archangel Gabriel, on the entrance portal to Santa Maria in Silvis.
An absolutely unusual facade, unparalleled in other abbeys, which introduces us to the sacred space of the Vestibule, the Atrium, and the Abbey Basilica.
A uniqueness that extends also to the other frescoes, often characterized by allegorical figures and admonitions to a righteous life, far from the temptations of the Evil One and sin.
To the left of the portal, on the lateral part of the beautiful subject that opens towards the abbey park, other frescoes. A well-wishing Saint Christopher with the child on his shoulder, and the Madonna on the Throne surrounded by Saint John the Baptist and Saint James.

A staircase towards art exhibitions
On the first floor, exactly above the atrium and the vestibule, opens the Salone Abbaziale, dedicated to art exhibitions, among which stand out those organized by the Comune di Sesto al Reghena together with AURA, Associazione Artistica del Friuli Venezia Giulia, which has led to the creation of a nucleus of the Museo Regionale di Arte Sacra Contemporanea, which has few similar in Italy.
