A weekend to relive, going back in time 400 years, the Palmanova that was in the Year of Our Lord 1615: the life of the garrisons, the training of the militias, the cloak and sword duels, the traditions and crafts, the cuisine, the tailoring, the music and dances of the era.

Palmanova relives the Renaissance history of its Fortress with the Historical Re-enactment “A.D. 1615 Palma alle Armi”, the Renaissance event with the highest number of participants in southern Europe, over 1,200, belonging to 60 historical groups from 15 different European countries.

On Saturday, August 31 at 5 PM and Sunday, September 1st at 4 PM, the two great battles in open field, amidst cannon and musket shots, pikes and swords. On Bastione Garzoni, the militia camp area will be reconstructed, among the over 300 carefully set up tents. On Saturday and Sunday, daily entry to the camp and battles will be 5 euros, free up to 14 years old.

In Piazza Grande, there will be the great military parades, the raising of the Gonfalone, the parade of the troops, the mass in historical dress, the games of the era, flag bearers and drums, food and wine, insights and duels.

On Sunday, at 10 PM the lowering of the Gonfalone of the Serenissima by the light of torches and fireworks.
