The first weekend of September, Palmanova is enlivened by an evocative historical reenactment "A.D. 1615. Palma alle armi": nearly a thousand costumed figures from the seventeenth century recall the beginning of the Uskok War or the Friuli War against the Austrians, the last between Austria and Venice.
