The Village of the Fresco

Valvasone, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, has become the Village of the Fresco.

What does it mean? From the Castle to the Cathedral, from the Church of SS. Peter and Paul to the Convent of the Servants of Mary, from the Town Hall to Sala Roma, all the pearls of Valvasone hold a series of frescoes, among the most remarkable in the region. In collaboration with Felice Arte, we have organized courses to learn this ancient artistic technique and set up an educational path that reveals its secrets.

Visit the pages of this section to discover all the options to become a budding fresco master!

Felice Arte

The Felice Arte Association organizes courses for learning the "a fresco" painting technique with the coordination of maestro Vico Calabrò. The "a fresco" painting, an exclusively Italian art envied worldwide, finds in Valvasone the suitable location to rediscover, deepen, and spread this technique.

Felice Arte usually organizes 4 annual courses lasting from 6 to 10 days at its headquarters on viale Trieste 2, Valvasone.

The courses consist of targeted technical and practical lessons, supported by visits to lime kilns and explanatory handouts.
