Sant'Osvaldo

The small church of S. Osvaldo, erected in 1732, was rebuilt in a larger form in 1773. The facade is flanked by a porch open on the sides. Restored several times in 1819, 1906, and 1954, the small church underwent adaptation work to increase its interior space in 1970-71, when the new main altar and the ambo were also created.

The altarpiece, depicting the church's patron saint, by an unknown artist, bears the date 1906. On the sides of the presbytery are some paintings by anonymous artists, including Jesus crucified between the Virgin Mary and Saint John the Evangelist (southern wall). On the ceiling of the presbytery is a fresco depicting The Virgin Mary in heaven. The altar of the southern chapel features a 20th-century statue of the Virgin, while the altar against the northern wall hosts a painting depicting St. Joseph, St. Anthony of Padua, and the Trinity.

A final restoration, carried out on the occasion of the Holy Year 2000, led to the discovery, on the keystone of the presbytery arch, of the frescoed inscription "DEDICATIO AECCLESIAE / CELEBRATVR / DOMINICA 2DA AVGVSTI / 1753". On this occasion, new stained glass windows were also created, one of which depicts the departure of the traditional procession from Luggau (southern side).
