The “oldest house” in Cividale
The house does not originate from an independent project but reutilizes a previous stone structure, most likely a tower, as highlighted by the regular courses of well-squared stone present on the right external wall of the building.
Inside, there is a fragment of medieval sculpture belonging to a small pillar or a capital, and it is reused here.
Currently, the medieval house hosts a jewelry shop, thus recovering its original function.
