A mystery still unsolved
A suggestive and truly mysterious environment, right in the center of Cividale del Friuli.
In a few steps, you descend into the bowels of the earth, where there are underground cavities carved into the rock, with a central chamber and three corridors.
Its function has not yet been definitively determined: was it Celtic funerary art or a prison? What is certain is that there are three large masks on the walls, along with niches, niches, and shelves.

Access to the site is allowed exclusively through guided tours organized by the Comune di Cividale and the Collegio Regionale delle Guide Speleologiche e dei Maestri di Speleologia del Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The visit to the Ipogeo Celtico requires the payment of an entrance ticket and booking is highly recommended.
