The orchestra is unique in its kind and was born in 2004 from the creativity and professionalism of Professor Patrizia Tassini, who conducts it.

It is entirely composed of her students or former students; initially conceived as a course of orchestral exercises at the Conservatory of Udine, it soon became a permanent orchestra.

A reality created by a person, Patrizia Tassini, who knows how to convey extraordinary enthusiasm; the passion that distinguishes her is passed on, along with her impeccable technique, to her students.

A permanent group of only classical harps, an absolutely unique reality in the world, for the skill of the members and the number of harpists on stage.

The orchestra is a gem for Udine and Friuli Venezia Giulia, and there have been over one hundred and thirty concerts held so far, which have led the Ventaglio d'Arpe to perform in Italy and abroad, always receiving enthusiastic acclaim from the public and critics, captivated by the beauty of the sounds and the extraordinary stage presence of such a large group of harps.

The orchestra has played, among other things, for the inauguration of the "G. Verdi" theater in Pordenone, in the studios of Radio Vaticana (live worldwide concert), at the Emilia Romagna Festival, in the theaters of Split, Zadar, and Rijeka, in Montefalco (PG) for the festival "Assisi nel Mondo", at the international festival "Nei suoni dei luoghi", in Lecco, Bergamo, Nova Milanese, Terni, at the Festival Le Corde dell’Anima in Cremona, in Grado for the inauguration of the "Lagunamovies" Festival, at the Teatro Verdi in Pordenone with Xavier De Maistre (number one harpist in the world), in the Valley of the Temples of Agrigento and, at the invitation of the Italian Cultural Institute of Tirana, in this city and in Vlorë.
