The Church of All Saints

The parish church of Bagnarola dates back to 1300, but over the centuries it has undergone numerous renovations and additions, particularly the 19th-century reconstruction (1895-1899) which involved piercing the walls to open the two side aisles with chapels and the construction of the current presbytery area with a dome. Inside, there are precious testimonies of the oldest events of the Church, such as the 16th-century wooden Crucifix, the stone basin of the baptismal font (early 16th century), and the valuable fresco with the Pietà by Pomponio Amalteo (circa 1540), now placed on the wall of the right aisle. Interesting examples of more recent art include the ceiling fresco by the Friulian Fabris depicting St. John the Evangelist contemplating the heavenly Jerusalem (19th century); the decoration of the dome with musical angels painted in Art Nouveau style, a unique feature for religious buildings; the Bazzani organ (recently restored) and the bronze portal by the sculptor Boatto.
