National previews and guests ranging from narrative to
music, including magic, sports, and cinema. And two more days of the event. These are the novelties of Words at the Summit, Music at Altitude, and Flavors in the Valley, the mountain festival scheduled in Sappada from July 24 to 28. The event, now in its fifth edition and directed by Monica Bertarelli, promises to be rich in content. Guests will include writer Mauro Corona, a long-time friend and protagonist of the event, the greatest Italian cyclist Francesco Moser who will celebrate 40 years since the hour record, the 4 musketeers of the Olympic gold in Lillehammer Maurilio De Zolt, Marco Albarello, Giorgio Vanzetta, and Silvio Fauner, 30 years after their amazing victory, and then the great guitarist Adriano Del Sal who will take the stage together with the famous magician Jack Nobile, in an exclusive artistic duet, never proposed before. Words at the Summit this year also includes cinema with the regional preview of INCinema Outside, the first film festival accessible also to sensory-disabled individuals.

“As always, the festival's aim is to give voice to the mountain through its testimonials – says Monica Bertarelli – and to welcome illustrious guests in an unusual context. Our stage is modest but the scenery is uniquely beautiful. All performances are held in the Hoffe square, in the heart of old Sappada with a view of the majestic Monte Siera, to convey the authenticity of the mountain to the audience.” The opening of the Festival is entrusted to Francesco Moser on Wednesday 24 at 6 PM, who will relive with the audience the emotion of that historic record. The following day, at 8:30 PM, the first of two scheduled screenings will take place, with a presentation by the creator of INCinema Federico Spoletti. “Un divano a Tunisi”, Audience Award at the Venice Film Festival's Giornate degli Autori, is the comedy that will be screened in a way accessible also to people with sensory disabilities. The 26th will be the evening of Mauro Corona, much awaited by the audience, who will talk about his latest book “Le altalene” and preview the contents of his next novel due out in the fall. Two events are scheduled for Saturday 27: starting at 6 PM with the protagonists of the historic Lillehammer 1994 relay. 30 years later, Maurilio De Zolt, Marco Albarello, Giorgio Vanzetta, and Silvio Fauner will celebrate that historic achievement with the audience present. After dinner, at 8:30 PM, for the first time, a great guitarist, Adriano Del Sal, and a famous YouTuber magician who is achieving staggering numbers on the web, Jack Nobile, will perform on stage in an unusual pairing. The 5-day festival will conclude with the accessible cinema event: the film scheduled is “La vita è una danza” a comedy that received 8 nominations for the international César film award.

The meetings will be moderated by journalist and artistic director of the event Monica Bertarelli. As with every edition of the festival, participation is open to everyone until seats are filled and free of charge. Contributing to the realization of Words at the Summit are the Municipality of Sappada, PromoTurismoFVG, the Sappada Dolomiti Tourism Consortium, PrimaCassa Fvg, Despar Nord, Distillerie Nonino, Birra Friuli, and La Gubana della Nonna.
